"Girls' Get-Away" at Bonclarken

Campus Ministry at Erskine's new intern, Hannah Casey, along with Marie Patrick and Janae May, helped to provide a great weekend of ministry for Erskine girls January 11-13 at Bonclarken.

Marie Patrick spoke three times on the subject of " Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World" (authored by Joanne Weaver) and Janae May and Hannah provided small group discussions to follow each session.

"This was the weekend I've needed" said one Erskine student. "A chance to think, to rest, and to fellowship with girls while growing existing relationships and starting new ones".

"The weekend was a blast...we've got to do it again!" said another student. "The small group discussion times each lasted for over an hour. The time flew!"

"It's great to have someone on campus in ministry just for us girls" said another student. We LOVE Hannah!"

The weekend of ministry was actually FREE for Erskine girls, thanks to the gifts of a few donors who support Campus Ministry at Erskine and the effort to provide ministry to our female students.

Sunday morning the girls surprised Hannah with a gift as a "thank you" and as a "welcome to campus ministry" gesture. They gave her a Bonclarken T-shirt as a memento for a great weekend and kick off for women's ministry at Erskine.

"I really got to know alot of girls in a hurry", said Hannah. "I can't wait to continue these conversations and relationships through the course of the semester."

We look forward to seeing what the Lord will do through this important addition to ministry on our campus in the near future!
